Modern Bangalore (Bengaluru) was founded by Kempegowda , a medieval chieftain, in the great Vijayanagara Kingdom. How was the city back then? What kind of people lived? How did it transform from a small medieval town to this big bustling metropolis?
Join us on a unique walk around the 'pettah' area of Bangalore and learn more about this fort city built by Kempegowda. Explore parts of the city you have never been to before, learn about the city history that might shatter some of the myths that we usually associate it with.

Cantonment Bangalore – Cubbon Park Walk
Bangalore’s history is a tale of two cities - the Indian City /Pete / Pettah and the European Cantonment with Cubbon Park serving as a barrier between the two.
Stroll through the park and learn of a Victorian era when people commuted on horseback or on footand dancing in the ballrooms of Parade road and stroll through the Park was a way of life in this South Indian city.
Join us and get transported to a British era where men wore top hats and memsahibs held parasols.
