The tour introduces two very South Indian olden day suburbs Malleswaram & Sheshadripuram known for the South Indian art and culture. Malleswaram evokes an image of ancient temples, street shopping, eateries called Darshinis that provide fresh delicious dosas and vadas, old world bungalows and modern apartments and South Indian classical music and dance.
The tour starts with an introduction to the area at Kadu Malleshwara temple. Through a walk and a drive it covers the story of the area. We walk from the temple vicinity to the open markets & visit an old world bungalow. From here, we head out for a small cultural performance in the house of a renowned dance guru. We then stopover at an iconic eatery to savor South Indian short eats - tiffin, as we call it. In the nearby Sheshadripuram, we can get competitive playing ancient Indian board games.
