The pete (pronounced pay-tay) is perhaps the oldest part of modern Bangalore. This trail retells the story of Bengaluru from medieval to modern times.

Within a fort, constructed by Kempe Gowda, we take you on a walk into the past; the journey of five centuries concisely retold in a few hours.

Krishna Rajendra(KR) Market, City Market, is actually a huge area consisting of 3 markets of different eras.

Walking through this buzzing market that sells everything from ironware to flowers, learn more about this area from medieval age to modern times - the legend behind the construction of Anekal gate of Kempegowda's fort, the water tank that served water to the city, modern Bengaluru's first electric pole, the beautiful garden that stood in front of it and much more. 

Of course, bring your bags along for some market shopping.

From a quaint small town to a big metropolis, Bangalore has seen a vast transformation. However, there are some corners, tucked away in the past, that still resist the changes of time and pace.

, Bangalore’s history is a tale of two cities — the Indian City or 'Pete' and the European Cantonment with Cubbon Park serving as a bridge between the two. Walk back into 20th century Bangalore along the trees at Cubbon Park.
Sri Chamarajendra Park, more popularly known as Cubbon Park, is more than a park. Walk through this green lung space, that is home to a great many species of plants and birds, Victorian buildings & statues, the State Parliament and  a tennis court among many other things. 

​As we park walk, learn of a Victorian era when where men wore top hats and memsahibs held parasols, when people commuted on horseback and danced in the ballrooms of Parade road.

TOWNS OF BANGALORE
