Glimpses of Bengaluru in a day - History, Temples, Palaces, Culture, Food and Markets
The tour starts from the vibrant City Market with all its colorful wares. It then takes you towards Bangalore Fort that stands as a testimony to the city's battles and then to the popular Summer Palace of Tipu Sultan.
From the buzz of the market the tour then shifts to quieter lanes of the ancient Bull Temple of Basavanagudi and Dodda Basava temple and a walk through Gandhi bazaar in Basavanagudi. You can shop in this busy commercial street and then stop for a traditional lunch in in the area.
After lunch head over to Cubbon Park for a bit of quiet and peace and know more about the English history of the city through a walk and drive of Cubbon Park and the nearby MG Road. Drive by Vidhana Soudha(State Parliament) and High Court and know its story as you admire the different architectural styles. End the tour at the royal Bangalore Palace - the summer home of Mysuru Kingdom rulers, the Wodeyars.
